Flood of 2008

CK continues to run business like normal during the flood of 2008.

Fortunately, CK is located behind a large levee that separates the manufacturing facility from the Mississippi River.  Currently only seep water is being pumped away from a few tanks and the parking lot. But no where near the level of saturation caused in 1993.

River Terminal Corporation our affiliate, is sustaining major flooding at the dock. However, with 50 years of being located on the Mississippi River, RT and CK are prepared for this and have reinforced the area and emptied the dry storage warehouse.

On Tuesday the river crested at 24.40 feet. The record in Muscatine for the flood of '93 was 25.61 feet.

Iowa's governor Chet Culver has declared 83 of Iowa's 99 counties disater areas. Of these 83, 24 have been declared presidential disaster areas including Muscatine, IA.

We consider ourselves lucky and very thankful that we have not sustained more flood damage. Our thoughts go out to all those who are affected by the flood '08.

Below are pictures of River Terminal's dock and of the flooding.

Celebrating 50 Years!

CK Processing Company is proudly celebrating it's 50th Anniversary! We would like to thank our customers for helping us reach this important milestone. It is with pleasure that we continue to earn your confidence and goodwill for the next 50 years to come.

MAKING IT A MEMORABLE 50th YEAR!

Our 50th year marks a wonderful change at the CK manufacturing facility. In 2007, we started revamping our old facility while adding on a new drying system.

These new advances will help us become more energy efficient, environmentally sound and most importantly, continue to provide the best molasses products.

Pictured right is a photo of CK's new addition to the original facility. Inside houses the new drying system.

The projected start up date is scheduled for late Summer. Be sure to check back because we will continue to give you an update on our progress.

Thank you
